Vishwa Shanthi Welfare Society is an independent registered organization (Reg.No.717/2005) dedicated to help the elderly people in and around Kollapur mandal area of Mahabubnagar district. The society currently accommodates 25 elderly people and provides free food, shelter, and other basic needs like medical and transportation.

Vishwa Shanthi Welfare Society is located in Kollapur mandal of Mahbubnagar (District), Telangana (State). Kollapur is located in the interior and remote area that is covered mostly by farmers and tribals. Most families in this area are economically, educationally, and agriculturally backward and the people of Kollapur area suffer from lack of proper food, clothes, and shelter. This current situation has been like this since independence to India and the reason is the lack of developmental reforms, lack of water for agricultural, and lack of education/employment in the area. The Kollapur area is not covered by Indian Railways till today, even decades after Independence, while APSRTC is the only available means of transportation. The recent start of some minor, medium and Lift Irrigation projects in the area is a good sign of development for the farmers.
